Data controller

What data is processed

This site has no forms, no user accounts, no newsletter and no comments. No data is requested or collected voluntarily.

The only processing that takes place involves the technical data the web server records automatically in its log files when serving a page: the visitor's IP address, date and time, the page requested, the response code, the declared browser (user agent) and, where applicable, the referring page. An IP address is personal data, which is why this page exists.

No cookies of any kind and no analytics tools are used. The only information stored in the browser is the language preference, and only when the visitor clicks the ES/EN switch: see the cookies page.

Why it is processed

To provide the requested service (serving the pages), to keep the site secure and intact, to detect and investigate faults or abuse, and to produce aggregate operational statistics. It is not used to profile, identify or track anyone, it is not combined with other sources, and no automated decisions are made.

Legal basis

The controller's legitimate interest in operating, protecting and keeping his own website available (article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The processing is minimal, is what any visitor to a website would expect, and is necessary for the technical operation and security of the site; it does not override the rights of the people concerned.

Retention period

Server logs are kept for whatever period the hosting provider applies in its configuration, typically between 30 and 90 days, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Should a specific log need to be kept to investigate a security incident or to comply with a legal request, it will be kept only for as long as that purpose lasts.

Who else has access

The hosting provider (ovh) acts as a processor: it hosts the site and handles the server logs on the controller's behalf under a processing agreement in accordance with article 28 GDPR. No data is disclosed to anyone else except where legally required.

No international transfers are envisaged as long as the hosting is located in the European Union. Should the site or any of the tools be hosted outside the EEA, the provider and the applicable safeguard (for example standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision) will be stated here.

The linked tools

The applications linked from the home page run in the visitor's browser. Each one states in its footer what it stores and, where it uses a microphone, camera, USB or serial port, that the content is processed on the device itself and is not sent to any server. Tools hosted on this same domain are covered by this policy; tools on a different domain have their own.

Outbound links

Following an external link (a code repository, a 3D-printing platform) takes the visitor to a site with its own controller and its own privacy and cookie policies, unrelated to this one.

Your rights

Anyone may exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, and may object to processing based on legitimate interest, by writing to [pendiente de completar] stating which right is being exercised. Proof of identity may be requested. A reply will be given within one month, extendable as provided by the GDPR.

Please note that, as no identifier is attached to browsing, the ability to locate the data of a particular visit is very limited: unless an IP address and an approximate time window are supplied, it may be impossible to identify the relevant records.

Complaints

Anyone who believes a request has not been handled properly may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, Spain.
